Bad Soap opera

Mexican actor Damian Alcazar, who on Friday received the Honor Award of the Latin American Film Festival of Catalonia, said that, he failed to Mexican film roles for men his age, will now try to make films in English.

Alcazar, speaking on the occasion of this exhibition to be held until February 19, has ruled out the possibility of continuing to work at home doing soap operas, a genre that has been described as "trash people".

With over 60 films under his belt and having triumphed in both film and television and theater, explained that his dream would be to work with filmmakers like the Coen brothers, Atom Egoyan or Scorsese.

"I'm in a framework of age-has stated, where already become actor, I stop being protagonist, because no characters are written stories for over 50 years."
The Mexican actor says that now must try to make films in English and be as selective as possible: "I know I will have to pay the hazing and maybe I have to do the occasional garbage, I hope not, because I do not mind doing small characters ".

In his long career, which include films such as "The Crime of Father Amaro" and "Satan", Alcazar has been offered more than once involved in Hollywood productions, which has rejected precisely for not doing stereotypical roles.
