Museum Diego Rivera mural, history tour
In 1947, the artist Diego
Rivera held one
of his works as a muralist, at
that time for the Hotel del
Prado, a dream, dream
for many or only for the artist,
is the question. The
mural called "Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in Alameda Park",
applied to the
most luxurious hotel in Mexico
City and had as main reason represent a
walk through the mall, which
is located opposite the hotel. Diego Rivera
mural begins in
the same year that it would end, 1947, took only
three months to create a mural
that reflected the identity and traditions of Mexican.
Part of the museum's mission is to bring the audience to heritage and a little history and
traditions, and especially with Diego Rivera
mural, so one of the most appropriate ways,
is the visit because guided tours through
these people can observe,
awakens their imagination, creativity, and
"somehow they themselves begin to generate more
knowledge to understand the work of Diego Rivera,"
said Danae Perdoza. It's been 66 years of history
and the mural remains intact,
the inclement weather and even the earthquake in 1985 in Mexico have not blinded.
